It’s easy! First, select the rental package you need based on the size of your space. All rental packages include Geaux Crates, a rolling moving dolly and labeling supplies.
Next, check out and pick a delivery date and time that’s convenient for you. We’ll deliver everything, and you can start packing right away. There is no tape or assembly required. Pack each crate, stack it on the included moving dolly and roll it right to your moving truck.
Finally, when you’re done moving, we’ll pick up everything at your new place when it’s convenient for you. No more cardboard mess to recycle!
In almost all cases, you will save money, time, and headache. When you purchase cardboard boxes, you also have to purchase packing tape and packing paper. Our preassembled plastic crates have hinged lids, so there is no need for tape or paper. Plus they are eco-friendly! Our customers have said – "We will never use cardboard boxes again".
Depending on the amount of rooms and storage items you currently have will determine how many you crates you will need. Our pricing for each category gives examples of sizing and square footage needs.
However, we always encourage customers that have a lot of heavy items, such as books, to order extra crates. While the crates hold a lot, you want to ensure that you can safely pick them up after loading them.
Studio: 30 Crates
1 Bedroom: 30-40 Crates
2 Bedroom: 40-50 Crates
3 Bedroom: 60-70 Crates
4 Bedroom: 80-90 Crates
5 Bedroom: 100 Crates +
Most customers reserve their crates 1-2 weeks before their move to ensure enough packing time. Crates can be arranged for delivery 48 hours after the receipt of payment/reservation.
We have found that most customers need a minimum of 30 crates and 3 dollies to pack the bare necessities for a move.

We recommend stacking NO MORE than 5 Crates on 1 Dolly. Any more than that, for safety reasons, could result in tipping over causing injury or property damage.
Geaux Crates provides service to the entire Greater Houston Metroplex. Some delivery fees will apply, if you are outside of our area.

No, we do not provide moving services. However, our sister company, Pitcher Design Group can assist with some packing and unpacking services.
We are also happy to give moving company recommendations.
