You've probably noticed things look a little different around here. New logo. New colors. A website that doesn't look like it was built during a lunch break. This is the Geaux Crates brand refresh — and since we did it on purpose, here's the thinking behind it.

The wordmark

The new logo is a collegiate arch: GEAUX over CRATES, bold and stacked like it belongs on a stadium wall. It's confident without being corporate — the kind of mark that looks as good on the side of a crate as it does on a t-shirt. No fussy details, no tiny text, no design that falls apart at favicon size. Just the name, set like it means it.

The palette

Four colors, each with a job. Poppy brings the energy — it's the red you see on the logo and the buttons, the "let's go" color. Cocoa brings the authority — dark, warm, readable, the color of the words that matter. Porcelain is the breathing room — the clean background that lets everything else pop. And Rose is the surprise — a flash of personality where you least expect it. Together they say what we're going for: bold, neighborhood-friendly, and unmistakably human.

The voice

The refresh isn't just visual. We rewrote how we talk: useful first, human second, clever third. That means plain language on the things that matter — pricing, policies, what's included — and a little personality everywhere else. No corporate fog, no "sustainable moving solutions." Just: we deliver crates, you pack, we pick them up. Pack. Move. Repeat.

The website

The new site launched in September 2026, and it's the biggest visible piece of the refresh. Browse all ten packages with real prices, book online, check your service area, and read the moving guides — this blog is part of it. Everything the old site made you call about, the new site just tells you.

What didn't change

The important stuff. Houston crate rentals, with delivery and pickup included, the first 15 miles of each trip on us, and payment in full at booking with no deposit. The refreshed look keeps the focus on those service basics.

A fresh coat of paint doesn't change what's underneath. It just makes it easier to see.
