If you use cardboard boxes, budget for the tape needed to assemble and close them according to their instructions. The amount depends on the box design, quantity, and packing method.

Packing paper and bubble wrap

Dishes, glasses, picture frames, vases, anything you actually care about — all of it needs cushioning. Packing paper goes fast (a kitchen alone can eat a bundle), and suitable protective wrap may be useful for fragile items. Mattress bags
